Yes, I realize here in this river town at the mouth of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean being so near, there may be a need for a real “1st Mate” on a vessel going to Sea. Although our name is a nautical theme we stay on land and offer Cleaning Services for homes and offices here in Astoria, Oregon and surrounding areas. Originally, when “Rae’s 1st Mate Cleaning” was established in 2008 in Portland, Oregon, the names was nastaulgic of growing up in the river town of Astoria and receiving the nickname “Baby Mate” or “Matey” as a child from my Father.
